We stock thousands of vintage parts. Mostly for banjos, but we have a few things for acoustic guitars, mandolins and fiddles. A small sampling is listed here. Banjo Parts

Tailpieces

1920's and 1930's Grover Presto 4 String tailpiece. We have several. Price is $150 for good condition to $200 for the cleanest shiniest ones we have.

1920's Vegaphone Professional 4 string Presto Tailpiece. $150

Wire armrests as found on Fairbanks and Vega banjos from the early 1900's, made by Pete Smakula of Goose Acres. $50

Ivoroid Tuning Knobs. We have many different shades of the grained knobs. $10 each

Celluloid Friction Tuners; Grained Ivoroid $15 each, non grained; $10 each

Beaded edge celluloid friction pegs; $25 each

Celluloid friction tuners with square knobs from S. S. Stewart Universal Favorite, Set of 5; $75

Grover diammond shaped, screw through the housing tuners. Ivoroid knobs, non original peghead bushings, set of 4; $150

Grover 2 band, The large offset planet tuners. I have a few single pegs available from two slightly different batches. Manufacturered in the late 1920's through the 1930's. $75 per tuner.

Paramount Figure 8 tuners with mother-of-pearl tuning knobs, gold plated. These tuners have the bigger housing and the two screw tabs on one side, set of 4; $700

Banjo Shoes

Fairbanks and Cole Long 2 pointed shoes, unplated; $20 each These have the short bolt for electric rims. The bolts are not long enough for Cole's Eclipse rims.

New Banjo Parts

Tuners
Gotoh 2 band planetary tuners with black button. The smoothest banjo tuner made for under $100 a set. Cost; $55 per set of 4

Gotoh geared 5th string tuner, black button, $10 each

Schaller Geared 5th string banjo tuner. Ours have a modern Ivoroid knob, but any knob can be substituted. $26 each

Pegheds geared tuners for banjos. These tuners look like ebony friction pegs, but on the inside there is an ingenious planet gear system. The best way to gear up your old Buckbee fretless. $85 per set of 5 Temporarrly out of stock. Expected 4-28-08

Mandolin

The Gibson Mandolin tailpiece cover from 1910 to 1925; $200

The Gibson Long tailpiece cover from 1905 to 1909, best used on a 3-point F mandolin. Very Rare; $350

Guitar
C.F. Martin Sperzel tuners, set of 6, chrome plated; $25

1952 Kluson 3 on a plate tuners. This set has buttons that are shrinking, but they are still functional. $40

New Kluson 3 on a plate reproduction tuners. Black or White buttons, made in Japan and they work much better than the Chicago made originals; $50 per set

1980's Schaller 3 on a plate tuners for slotted peghead. Used, but Excellent condition, hard to find; $40
